PRAISE FOR ARTPATH

"As a teacher, I like Artpath's program because it incorporates different modes of intelligence, this physical aspect does integrate with the brain. These large motor skills cross the brain and this movement Donna is using links with the child's development. I also really like the culminating event as the children are able to work hard on their learning, then enjoy sharing their personal expression and their ability to work in the group with their family and the school community.

"For me the biggest benefits show up in my Resource Children, those facing challenges with ADD/ADHD, Autism, etc. These children struggle to succeed in normal academics but are the ones who excel in this program, it provides an opportunity for them to succeed.  They experience being valued for being who they are. This experience becomes one of the greatest gifts you can provide these children."

"I like having access to Donna's expertise in working with dance as a pathway for learning. How she expertly shares the purpose and content; then interacts with the children in a structured way that builds up to that culminating community performance event. It is more impactful than children just doing movement without an underlying driving purpose behind it."

"We always look forward to having Donna join us each year as we teachers are finding less time available to do fun arts integration activities. I think anytime we can incorporate the arts into the child's experience it is beneficial. They have an opportunity to experience an art form they would never have access to otherwise."

"Unanticipated outcomes including teaching students to work cooperatively; providing an opportunity for students who have conflicts in class to enjoy partnering together; showing physical movement/dance strengths of students who struggle academically and socially (giving them a chance to be recognized), the constant movement was perfect for students with attention difficulties."
